GeoMind is a professional-grade 3D geological mapping and terrain analysis application for mobile devices. It is built for geologists, mining engineers, petroleum engineers, civil engineers, geoscience researchers, surveyors, and advanced students. It combines the analytical power of a desktop GIS system with the portability of a smartphone or tablet — suitable for both office and remote field environments.

GeoMind's integrated digital clinometer uses your device's accelerometer and gyroscope sensors to measure strike and dip of geological planes in real time. Place the device against an outcrop face and record structural measurements instantly. The digital compass is calibrated for professional use and supports declination correction. Ensure you are away from metallic objects or strong magnetic fields for the most accurate readings. All structural data is automatically geolocated via GPS.

GeoMind is built for remote field work. Before heading into the field:

1. Open the Offline Maps section and select your target region.
2. Choose your desired resolution and download the tile package over Wi-Fi.
3. All analytical tools — clinometer, rock identifier, geological mapping, and report generation — are fully available without an internet connection.
4. Data logged offline syncs automatically when connectivity is restored.

Downloaded map tiles are stored on your device and do not expire.

GeoMind's rock identifier and mineral scanner use a combination of visual classification algorithms and a comprehensive reference database covering mineralogy, petrology, and stratigraphy. For best results: use adequate lighting, capture a clean, unweathered surface of the specimen, and provide a scale reference if possible. The identifier returns probable rock/mineral type, key diagnostic properties, and associated geological formations. For formal academic or industrial classification, always confirm with laboratory analysis.

GeoMind exports field data in the following professional formats:

CSV — Structured data for import into Excel, QGIS, ArcGIS, or custom pipelines.
KML / KMZ — Geolocated features for Google Earth and GIS platforms.
PDF — Formatted professional reports with maps, photos, structural data, and logs, ready for submission or printing.

Reports are generated with a single tap and can be shared via email, cloud storage, or AirDrop.

GeoMind supports WGS 84 (standard GPS), UTM, and a range of local geodetic datums. You can switch coordinate display systems from within the Settings panel. This ensures compatibility with existing GIS workflows, published geological maps, and survey standards used in your region. If you require support for a specific datum not currently listed, contact us and we will evaluate adding it in a future update.

Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. To cancel or modify your plan:

iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → GeoMind → Cancel Subscription.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support directly, as all billing is processed by Apple.

Open GeoMind on your new device, navigate to the subscription screen, and tap "Restore Purchases". Ensure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Your Pro access will be restored immediately at no additional charge.

GeoMind uses GPU-accelerated rendering (Skia / Three.js). If you experience rendering issues:

1. Ensure your device is running the minimum required iOS/Android version.
2. Close background apps to free GPU and RAM resources.
3. Force-quit and relaunch GeoMind.
4. In Settings, try lowering the Terrain Detail Level for older devices.
5. Reinstall the app if the problem persists.

GeoMind collects minimal data: a device identifier and subscription status via RevenueCat for Pro subscription management, and anonymized crash and performance diagnostics. All geological field data, maps, outcrop logs, and photos you create are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not sell your data or use advertising SDKs.
